Many of you may not know, but I stepped into the music world in Malaysia as an independent artiste with no funding, no music label, no management, no contacts/network. Since it was my first ever single, I wanted it to be great. I wanted it to be the best work I’ll ever produce. I wanted to prove that I can make my dreams of having my very own music video come true if I believed and worked hard enough 💪🏼

I worked on #SupernovabyCharis with a talented team (@weareprojectroom), including every little detail from drawing out the storyboard to presenting and pitching to brands who (thankfully!) supported my dreams and believed in me, from the wardrobe styling to the hair & makeup, from recce-ing for locations to getting my choreographer, dancers and talents. No one saw the hours that were put in for that 3-min music video. Were there any challenges? Oh, heck yeah. There were so many issues that came up one after another that were working against me during that time. I broke down many times. I prayed. I cried and wanted to give up. But every time after that happened, I stood back up and continued pushing and moving forward because He would constantly remind me of the reason I do what I do and why I love doing it. Besides that, I was blessed by amazing people that supported me throughout the entire journey and I cannot let them down (duh)! 😂
