Trước khi bắt tay vào thực hiện chương trình talk show về hẹn hò Love Is Blind, Dustin chưa bao giờ nghĩ có ngày mình sẽ tìm được nhiều khán giả, bạn bè, khách mời đồng lòng đồng cảm với mình đến như vậy. Thậm chí, mình chưa bao giờ nghĩ, mình sẽ rơi nước mắt vì hạnh phúc trong lúc quay hình. Đơn giản là vì mình quá trân trọng nỗ lực của những người tham gia suốt hành trình đi tìm hạnh phúc.
Ca nhạc sĩ Hakoota Dũng Hà lựa chọn Love Is Blind để chia sẻ tâm sự thầm kín nhất của anh; qua đó, anh cũng mong muốn tìm được thêm những người hiểu được nỗi cô đơn của người song tính, toàn tính luyến ái khi bị kì thị, cười cợt. Cảm ơn anh Hakoota vì nhờ anh mà Dustin đã tự bồi dưỡng thêm kiến thức của mình về sự đa dạng của các xu hướng tính dục, qua đó đồng cảm và yêu thương hơn những cá thể khác biệt trong chính cộng đồng LGBTQI+ (điều mà trước đây chính mình cũng còn e dè và hoài nghi).
Như anh Hakoota chia sẻ, anh đã từng bỏ cuộc khi cô đơn vây quanh vì không ai hiểu được mình. Vậy câu hỏi đặt ra là : liệu nhân vật nào bên kia tấm rèm mới thực sự đủ tạo nên sự bất ngờ, vừa có một tâm hồn đủ cởi mở để hiểu và chấp nhận, lại vừa đủ sự tươi mới, lạc quan để cân bằng đây? Thú thật, đây là một trong những quyết định liều lĩnh nhất của ê kíp khi mời Lena vào chiếc ghế đối diện. Lena không những đã làm tụi mình hân hoan thốt lên rằng “bạn ấy quá đáng yêu và cởi mở”, mà cô bé 22 tuổi còn tạo được một niềm tin mãnh liệt cho tất cả những tâm hồn cô đơn ngoài kia rằng “đừng ngại vì mình khác biệt, đừng cố gồng để làm hài lòng một ai đó, hãy cứ là chính mình, bạn rồi sẽ tìm thấy tình yêu!”
