Meeting of Board of Governors of IIUM
This morning, I needed to chair the Board of Governors of IIUM. It was my first time chairing this highest board in the organisational structure of IIUM.
I am lucky - or rather the IIUM is lucky - of having such great personalities as the members in the BOG amongst H.E. the Ambassadors and corporate, as well as national figures. The meeting was smooth but critical on some aspects which warranted thorough deliberation.
The BOG has one representative for board member from Alumni. He is Bro Amer Bukvic, an alumni from Bosnia and is now the CEO of Islamic bank in Bosnia that is Bosna Bank International. On the side of discussion, I have impressed on him to think hard how we could bring IIUM to the heart of Europe. We have planted some seeds for this great idea. Idea (or dream) is the catalyst of any revolution or transformation, of course followed and to be reinforced by planning and perseverence.
We have discussed and alligned a few matters in the course of the whole meeting of BOG. We have the vision to make IIUM always relevant, trendy and impactful.
