1911年2月21日，Sealand海洋世界（Sealand）的訓練員 Keltie Byrne 因於表演前失足滑倒，被虎鯨 Tilikum 咬住，拖到池底溺死。
此事件逐漸暴露了海洋動物（圈養動物）表演的黑暗內幕，許多真實表演動物受虐的影片呈現，動物被迫「囚禁」在狹隘的牢籠，被逼接受一系列非自然行為不人道的訓練，令動物長期於精神、情感與生理上受創傷，以致於出現攻擊人的行為。
人類以愛之名圈養鯨魚，實則只是為了馴獸娛樂表演，而觀賞海洋動物娛樂性表演對教育效果不大也非沒有替代性；牠們是具有生命，而非人類無感「池中的紀念品」，以行動拒絕消費觀看鯨豚表演，就可減少鯨豚表演場次及被迫表演的壓力，並重新思考與野生動物的相處模式，等於捍衛動物的自由。
On February 21, 1991, Sealand trainer Keltie Byrne slipped before a performance and fell into the pool containing all three orcas. She was pulled to the bottom of the enclosure by Tilikum, tossed around among the three orcas, and ultimately drowned.
This incident reveals the dark side of the performing of marine animals. (Captive animals) Many videos of abuse were revealed from performing shows. The animals are forced to stay in their cages like prisoners. They are forced to get a series of unnatural trainings. The stress of captivity also causes them to exhibit aggression toward humans.
In the name of Love, humans capture whales to entertain the audience. It does not have much educational effect when watching a marine animal, but there are replacements. These animals had lives, they were not born just to be a human souvenir. By rejecting watching the show we can reduce the amounts of performances and we should rethink the relations between man and animal. It equals the freedom of these animals.
