I've come to realise that there will always be ups and downs in a relationship, and this doesn't change with the years and can become even more apparent as we step further into parenthood. Perhaps, it's the bad times we go through that make us cherish the good ones even more.
Well, this was definitely a good day and one of the best couple breakfasts we had. It was an impromptu date and we didn't plan to dress matchy too ley. Anyway, who eats Bak Kut Teh and pig's trotters and drinks 水仙茶 early in the morning, right? Apparently we decided to and it turned out pretty awesome. My kids always say Bak Kut Teh is too spicy for them so we seldom get to indulge like that and drink bowl after bowl. The tea complemented it well too and we must have drunk a whole kettle of it. Haha.
Never forget to make time for your other half and let them know how much you love and appreciate them, yar? You don't need flowers or gifts, you don't need a lavish meal too, but you do need to be truly present and give your full attention - just for that little while. It makes a world of difference, at least for me.
