我和 Oliver 第一次合作是 2005 的野台開唱，他上台當 Echo 的嘉賓唱夏日晚歌。記得他當時只會講廣東話，一句國語都不會說，更不用說要背我那超難記的歌詞有多痛苦。但我想那次台灣之旅改變了他接下來的人生。
激膚、Hello Nico、南西肯恩⋯⋯他很擅長發掘和經營新的樂團，而且大都是女主唱，卻也很容易被女生搞定。
我感情用事的程度比起他也好不到哪裡去，加入黑市除了 Oliver 是我兄弟、小文是和我從 iNDIEVOX 一路到 Soundscape 的夥伴，還有一個很重要的原因：
因為這是 Placebo 的專輯名稱，而 Black Market Music 我大學大概聽了有一百次。

應該是 2008 年左右，Keiichi 時常找我一起做歌，那些歌都有他一貫的風格——日搖、七和弦、有點硬來的轉調，某天他說寫了一首甜蜜的歌給女友，叫〈Sweet Nail〉，是他沒嘗試過的 bossa nova。我聽了很喜歡，馬上試錄了一版 demo，後來雖然就這樣擺著，但我一直對於自己唱的旋律很滿意。
處女空氣專輯製作開案後，我跟團員和秀秀說想把這首放進專輯裡，那陣子我正在讀秀秀推薦的《戀人絮語》，裡面有一段我非常喜歡：

「想你」是什麼意思？這話意味著：把你忘了以及經常從那種忘卻中醒過來。

我從來沒有想過，竟然有一段話可以把「想你」這麼單純的情緒，描述得如此傳神又充滿詩意，於是我從「再次從忘卻中醒來」起頭，開始寫這首歌的詞。
為了延續 Keiichi 最初「甜蜜的情歌」的設定，我在寫詞時想的是當時正在紐約唸書的女友，遠距離戀情讓我有很多可以描繪思念這件事的材料，像是「穿越了漫長的等待，耽戀著細雪紛飛的異鄉」，寫得就是相隔一年後，我在冬天去紐約找她時的記憶。這次請藝術家 Jonni 製作的封面和動畫也呼應了這件事。
我們和秀秀花了很多很多很多的時間琢磨這首歌的編曲，應該是我們所有的歌裡面最久的，段落的起伏、堆疊的吉他聲響、打擊樂器、嘗試了一次又一次的和聲⋯⋯我不知道這輩子還會不會為了一首歌投入這麼多細膩的心思，但我很慶幸我們曾經如此。
在處女空氣十週年，我們邀請 南西肯恩 重新演繹這首歌，並由他們的製作人也是 Echo 的老朋友 Oliver Ching 改編，很高興能在多年後由年輕樂團為這首歌帶來新的面貌，希望也能讓許多過去喜歡這首歌的人，再次從忘卻中醒來。
還有，網路上查這首歌的歌詞，都會寫「Due to tomorrow we'll never know」，其實沒那麼複雜，是「To-to-tomorrow we'll never know」，那段時間我正在聽 David Bowie 的〈Changes〉，就把他歌裡口吃的唱法用在這裡。
