Most of the time we are afraid to truly go to our feelings, because it hurts to feel all our and another’s choice to not be loving. So we distract, numb or stimulate ourselves so we can avoid feeling. The avoidance is a lack of honesty to ourselves, a step towards a greater rift with our soul, which actually hurts more than going deeper to any feelings and being honest with them.
It is wise to keep feeling and expressing these feelings, even though there may be reactions even quite violent ones, because ultimately this reflection is giving an opportunity for another to be honest too.
