หลังวายป่วงไปกับ Goosebumps และสนุกลุ้นระทึกใน Fear Street ผลงานของ R.L. Stine เตรียมกลับมาสร้างความสนุกอีกครั้งใน JUST BEYOND ซีรีส์ Horror-Comedy ที่หยิบเอาคอมิคในชื่อเดียวกันของ R.L. Stine มาดัดแปลง
JUST BEYOND ในคอมิคคือเรื่องราวของ เด็กนักเรียนสามคนที่รู้สึกว่าโรงเรียนที่แย่ที่สุดในชีวิต เมื่อพวกเขาพบว่าไปด้วยปีศาจร้ายและมีมิติลึกลับแอบซ่อนอยู่?! พวกเขาต้องหนีออกจากมิติพิศวงไปให้ได้ไม่อย่างนั้นเขาอาจติดอยู่ในนี้ตลอดกาล
JUST BEYOND ได้ Seth Grahame-Smith ผู้อำนวยการสร้าง IT และเมือเขียนบทจาก The Lego Batman Movie มาทำหน้าที่เขียนบทและเป็นโชว์รันเนอร์ของซีรีส์ พร้อมได้ R.L. Stine มาทำหน้าที่บริหารการผลิต ร่วมกับ David Katzenberg จาก IT และ Child's Play (2019)
นอกจากนี้ยังได้ Marc Webb จาก The Amazing Spider-Man และ 500 Days of Summer มากำกับให้กับสองตอนแรกของซีรีส์ด้วย
Grahame-Smith เผยว่า
"ผมโตมากับ Twilight Zone และผมก็ดูมันซ้ำไปซ้ำมากับครอบครัว นั่นเลยทำให้ผมอยากทำซีรีส์สยองขวัญแนว ๆ นี้ให้ดูได้ทั้งครอบครัว จะเด็กและผู้ใหญ่ก็ดูได้ทั้งนั้น R.L. Stine คือนักเขียนที่เคยเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของเด็ก ๆ หลายล้านคน และ Disney+ เองก็พิสูจน์ให้เห็นแล้วว่า พวกเขาสามารถสร้างซีรีส์ที่มีคุณภาพยอดเยี่ยมสำหรับทั้งครอบครัวได้ มันคงไม่มีอะไรตื่นเต้นไปกว่าการได้ทำงานร่วมกับทั้งคู่อีกแล้ว"
