運動前中後補水法
做運動出汗會令身體大量流失水分,必須飲水補充,等到口渴才飲水已經太遲,應該在運動前、中、後期都適量飲水,一般運動飲清水已經足夠;運動飲料只適合進行劇烈運動,如馬拉松、打籃球等大量流汗後飲用,消耗量不足又過量飲用容易致肥。也建議大家運動前後飲用米水,迅速補充體力。
運動前飲水:
- 運動前30分鐘飲用約100-150毫升水
- 如果進行戶外活動,運動前飲水尤其重要,有助預防中暑
- 冬天宜喝暖水幫助暖身
運動中飲水:
- 感到口渴要適量飲一兩口水
- 未有口渴感覺,亦建議每15-20分鐘飲50-100毫升清水
- 補水次數跟據運動時間長短、強度、環境等有所不同
運動後飲水:
- 切勿一時間狂灌大量水份,以免導致「中水毒」低血鈉的情況
- 運動後兩小時內,分數次飲用300-500毫水清水,讓身體逐漸吸收
*飲水量按天氣、體質、運動強度等因素而每人不同,以上飲水量只作參考用途。

Hydration before, during and after sports
We are bound to lose fluid when we sweat during sports. Hence, we must rehydrate the body regularly. In fact, we should be drinking water even before we feel thirsty. It is important to drink enough water before, during, and after sports.
Drinking plain water is good enough, but we can opt for isotonic drinks for more intense and sweat-inducing sports such as marathon and basketball. Please be mindful that excessive consumption of isotonic drinks can cause fat to accumulate if we do not exercise enough to burn the calories. It is also good to drink rice water before and after sports to replenish our stamina.
Before sports:
- Drink 100-150ml of water 30 minutes before the session
- This is especially important for outdoor sports to prevent heatstroke
- Opt for warm water in the winter to keep the body warm
During sports
- Take a sip or two when you feel thirsty
- Try to drink 50-100ml of water every 15-20 minutes even when you are not thirsty
- Hydrate the body according to the duration and intensity of the sports as well as the environment
After sports
- Avoid gulping down a lot of water in one go, as it could cause water intoxication (when the amount of salt and other electrolytes in your body become too diluted)
- Drink 300-500ml of plain water in stages within the next two hours, so the body can gradually absorb the liquid
*The advice above is just for reference. Adjust consumption of water according to the weather, individual's body condition, and the intensity of the sports.

水上活動提防中暑
夏天當然不能錯過水上活動,不少人以為身處海中心、泡在海水裡就不會中暑,其實是錯誤的觀念,如果水面被太陽照射過久,水溫高於體溫,體熱便不易散退。加上游泳運動量高,體溫持續上升,上水後繼續受太陽照射,不及時補充水份及降溫,就有機會中暑。
進行水上活動時要量力而為,遇有任何不適例如頭暈、頭痛、噁心、四肢無力等情況,要立即到陰涼處休息,用濕毛巾擦拭身體或搧風,飲水或運動飲品補充水份,如症狀持續要就醫治理。
水上活動防中暑小貼士:
- 避開中午陽光最猛烈的時間活動
- 穿著防曬及透氣衣物
- 運動前先飲用適量水份
- 每隔20分鐘,補充約100-200毫升水份,亦可趁機休息
- 避免飲用茶、咖啡、酒精飲品等加速身體排水的飲料
- 身體不適、睡眠不足、身體虛弱情況下都不宜進行戶外活動

Prevent getting a heat stroke doing water sports
Water sports are popular during summer. Many people think they can avoid a heat stroke in the water, but this is actually a misconception. When being overly exposed to the sun while being in the water, our body cannot dissipate heat easily because the water temperature is higher than that of our body. If we do not hydrate our body in time, we might develop a heatstroke.
We need to know our limits when carrying out water sports. When we experience headache, dizziness and nauseousness, or when our limbs turn weak, we should immediately take a rest under the shade. At the same time, we should wipe our body with a wet towel, fan ourselves, and drink water or isotonic beverages to rehydrate our body. If the condition persists, we must seek medical treatment.
Tips to prevent heat stroke during watersports:
-Avoid going out at noon as the sun is at its peak
-Wear clothes that are made from breathable fabrics and can protect you from the sun
-Drink sufficient water before carrying out any activity
-Take a break to rehydrate the body by drinking 100-200ml every 20 minutes
-Avoid drinking tea, coffee, and alcoholic beverages, as they are diuretic in nature
-Avoid water sports when we did not sleep well the night before or not feeling well on the day itself

If you exercise quite frequently and would like a more natural replacement for isotonic drinks like 100-Plus or Gatorade, here's a little recipe you can try :
.
- 1 lemon (or 2 limes)
- 5gm of raw brown sugar
- +/- 5gm of Himalayan rock salt or sea salt
- 800gm of filtered water
.
You can also add some lemon or lime zest for taste.
.
Some people may find one whole lemon a little too tart and sour. Try half a lemon instead. Save the other half for your next batch. Alternatively you can try one whole orange.
.
You can also replace the filtered water with green tea, coconut water, etc.
.
Remember to Reiki and CHILLED your homemade isotonic brew for an additional punch :)

Joy Can series are anime or game official design canned juice and original item set. This time, I bought a special tote bag and an isotonic drink with mascot. By the way, I don't know the machine is a vending machine or gacha. Because I can buy a tote bag like from vending machine, but I can't choose the mascot. It's random like a gacha. Is the machine a vending machine or a gacha?
