That was something I thought was dense and scary.
Living in Singapore for 10 years, it felt like living was not an option.
There’s a routine. Wake up. Work. Make money. Send money home. Send things home.
10 years I dedicated my life with work. My DNA Test result says, I have a higher stress tolerance. That’s probably why I was able to survive for 10 years.
Until, I had I became paralyzed with mental disorders. I could no longer do what I used to. Medications made me got by, but I felt like I was a walking dead. There were times, I wish I were dead.
And I had to go back to zero. I chose Boracay because I have dreamed about it for months. Just watching the sunset, hear the ocean waves, it made me calm. And I saw myself creating.
Today I’m here. Still struggling, but the sunset, the ocean waves are healing me gradually. Creating became my passion. It’s no longer just a distraction but I wake up wanting to do it- the first thing I want to do in the morning, and the last thing I do before heading to bed.
I don’t feel like I am working. With creating, slowly, I’m able to control my thoughts, breathe a little deeper. Just like swimming in the sea water, seeing the white beach and walking on it- the emotion is the same when I create.
I have a long way to go. The battle just got a little tougher. But with prayers and the gift of nature, soon, I will be free. I will be free.
