Whenever I bring tourists on a food tour in Geylang, Kwong Satay is one of the must-visit stalls. Kwong Satay’s roots can be traced back to the 1960s when the grandfather of Mr. Wong Chee Kwong peddled satay from a trishaw in Katong. Two decades later, Mr. Wong Chee Kwong continued the family tradition when he started selling satay at Geylang. This flagship stall is now operated by Sim Peng Kuen (also known as Ah Koon).
Made according to their good old recipe which has Hainanese Chinese, Peranakan and Indian influences, the signature pork loin satay and pork belly satay are delicious. The satay spice rub comprises cumin, turmeric, lemongrass, candlenut, fennel, lemongrass and more. Fresh, juicy and succulent, the satay is imbued with a smokiness. The pork belly satay is especially yummy, with a sliver of fat sandwiched between the meat. The satay sauce comes topped with a generous dollop of mashed pineapple puree to give it that extra kick. Love it!

This special season calls for a special dish. Pork belly is our absolute favourite! And there are many ways to cook this versatile cut of meat, with roasting being our first pick! Who can resist good old crispy siobak skin right?
This time we decided to play dress-up a little and give it an Xmas twist! We began by rolling up the pork belly and tying it into segments using a butcher’s twine. By doing this, the Siobak is divided nicely into serving portions. Coupled with honey roasted apples which is infused with soy sauce, dijon mustard and five spice to cut through the porky grease. This will leave you CRAVING for MORE!

Hey YouTube Family!!
Y'all know how I love my pork!! I found a recipe online using my Air Fryer to fry some pork belly. I also made some lemon pepper wings - Ahhhhhmazing!! The pork turned out ok BUT the pork skin (which is my Favorite Part) was too hard. But I will play around with the recipe and try this one again.
Any suggestions on how to get the perfect crisp pork belly?

洋蔥泥 1大匙 onion 1tbsp.
米酒 1大匙 cooking rice wine 1tbsp.
作法
1. 所有材料B放入保鮮盒中混合均勻。
2. 放入劃好刀的五花肉抓勻。
3. 蓋上蓋子,按下氣密閥,醃漬1小時即可。
蔥味醃醬
材料

蘋果泥 2大匙 apple puree 2tbsp.
蔥泥 3大匙 scallion 3tbsp.
薑泥 1大匙 ginger 1tbsp.
鹽 1茶匙 salt 1tsp.
糖 1茶匙 sugar 1tsp.
米酒 1大匙 cooking rice wine 1tbsp.
作法
1. 所有材料B放入保鮮盒中混合均勻。
2. 放入劃好刀的五花肉抓勻。
3. 蓋上蓋子,按下氣密閥,醃漬1小時即可。
韓式柚子醃醬
材料

韓式柚子醬 3大匙 Korean honey citron jam 3tbsp.
薑黃粉 1茶匙 turmeric powder 1tsp.
洋蔥泥 1大匙 onion 1tbsp.
薑泥 1大匙 ginger 1tbsp.
鹽 1茶匙 salt 1tsp.
米酒 1大匙 cooking rice wine 1tbsp.
作法
1. 所有材料B放入保鮮盒中混合均勻。
2. 放入劃好刀的五花肉抓勻。
3. 蓋上蓋子,按下氣密閥,醃漬1小時即可。
醬油醃醬
材料

鳳梨泥 2大匙 pineapple puree 2tbsp.
醬油 2大匙 soy sauce 2tbsp.
薑泥 1大匙 ginger 1tbsp.
蒜泥 1大匙 garlic 1tbsp.
米酒 1大匙 cooking rice wine 1tbsp.
鹽 1茶匙 soy sauce 1tsp.
作法
1. 所有材料B放入保鮮盒中混合均勻。
2. 放入劃好刀的五花肉抓勻。
3. 蓋上蓋子,按下氣密閥,醃漬1小時即可。
五花肉較厚,切花刀更入味
作法
1.在五花肉表面劃交叉斜刀,再醃加快醃漬入味。
醃好就能馬上烤!
作法
1. 不用放油,直接放上五花肉逼出油質,烤至兩面都上色。
2. 再剪成小塊,烤至切口也都焦香上色就能吃。

韓式烤五花
材料:
豬五花 800g pork belly
醃漬材料:
蒜泥 30g garlic puree
蘋果泥 50g apple puree
洋蔥泥 50g onion puree
醬油 2大匙 soy sauce 2tbsp
糖稀 1大匙 cooking syrup 1tbsp
作法:
1. 鍋中將醃漬材料混合均勻,再將豬五花放入攪拌,蓋上鍋蓋醃漬至少2~3小時,過夜更入味!
2. 將鍋子取出打開蓋子直接進氣炸烤箱,設定「空氣炸」、200℃、30分鐘,烤完可剪小段包生菜一同食用。
家常烤豬排
材料:
豬里肌 600g pork tender loin
醃漬材料:
蒜泥 30g garlic puree
醬油膏 2大匙 thick soy sauce 2tbsp
糖 1茶匙 sugar 1tsp
白胡椒粉 1/2茶匙 ground white pepper 1/2tsp
五香粉 1/2茶匙 5spice powder 1/2tsp
米酒 1大匙 cooking rice wine 1tbsp
作法:
1.將醃漬材料混合均勻,再與里肌肉片混合,蓋上蓋子醃漬2~3小時,過夜更入味!
2. 將鍋子取出打開蓋子直接進氣炸烤箱,設定「空氣炸」、230℃、15分鐘即可。
烤咖喱雞胸
材料:
雞胸 1付 chicken breast
醃漬材料:
蒜泥 40g garlic puree
洋蔥泥 40g onion puree
咖喱粉 2大匙 curry powder
鹽 1/2茶匙 salt 1/2tsp
糖 1/2茶匙 sugar 1/2tsp
原味優格 50g yogurt
作法:
1. 將醃漬材料混合均勻,再與雞胸一起混合,蓋上蓋子醃漬約2小時或過夜更入味。
2. 將鍋子取出打開蓋子直接進氣炸烤箱,設定「空氣炸」、230℃、25分鐘,食用時可依個人喜好搭配生菜。
家常烤魚
材料:
魚 3尾 fish
蒜末 15g minced garlic
辣椒末 10g chili
薑絲 15g ginger
洋蔥絲 100g onion
調味材料:
鹽 1/2茶匙 salt 1/2tsp
米酒 2大匙 cooking rice wine 2tbsp
白胡椒粉 1/2茶匙 ground white pepper 1/2tsp
作法:
1. 將調味材料與薑、蒜、辣椒、洋蔥混合好鋪在魚上,放入氣炸烤箱設定「空氣炸」、230℃、15分鐘即可。
