農曆新年又是吃賀年糕點之時，當中以蘿蔔糕最受歡迎，由五星級酒店到街坊小店都有。但連鎖店的出品，一定最多人追捧。價錢相對大眾化，平均$200以下有交易。

不論平貴，好吃的蘿蔔糕，最重要是吃到蘿蔔味，蘿蔔當然要夠多才好味，此外粗切比刨幼絲更有口感。配料如臘肉、臘腸、蝦米等分量要恰當，不應喧賓奪主，味道要平衡，質感更要軟滑不糊口。今次由入行五十年的名廚陳小麒（曾任天寶閣行政總廚17年）出馬，盲試七間人氣連鎖店的蘿蔔糕，一較高下。

第一間是華麗園瑤柱金腿蘿蔔糕，入口偏鹹，吃不到蘿蔔味。蘿蔔分量偏少，吃不到蘿蔔條或絲。配料的臘腸、 蝦米和瑤柱的比例恰當，可惜質地不夠軟滑，吃罷更有點口渴。

第二間是八珍，吃得岀蘿蔔是粗切，但蘿蔔味不重。雖然配料多，有臘腸、臘肉、冬菇和蝦米，但臘味的味道，卻蓋了蘿蔔本身的味道。生粉也下得太多，口感不夠軟熟。


第三間是添好運，蘿蔔粗切，啖啖都吃到蘿蔔條，蘿蔔味很足。配料恰當，有臘肉、臘腸和冬菇，稍嫌質地不夠軟熟。

第四間是東海堂的北海道元貝蘿蔔糕，蘿蔔有筋，多筋代表太老。蘿蔔粗切，但蘿蔔味不是很重。配料挺多種類，有臘肉、臘腸、蝦米、瑤柱和冬菇，糕也軟滑。

第五間是聖安娜的瑤柱蘿蔔糕，蘿蔔絲夠粗，但蘿蔔味很淡。雖然配料種類多，臘肉、臘腸、冬菇和蝦米都有，分量較少，質感也不軟滑。

第六間是美心的瑤柱蘿蔔糕，蘿蔔又粗又多，蘿蔔味頗濃，口感還頗軟滑。配料分量適中，有臘腸、蝦米和瑤柱，但稍欠臘味香。

第七間是榮華，蘿蔔絲幼但分量多，有蘿蔔味。雖然質地軟熟，不過配料少，只有蝦米、臘腸和瑤柱。

最後由美心蘿蔔糕贏一個馬鼻，因為陳師傅認為她的蘿蔔夠粗，糕也有蘿蔔味，配料較均勻，質感勝過其他六間。
