昨晚是又一個令人又怒又悲又無助的晚上。
回家前一個小時，我才剛和台灣回香港的朋友吃過晚飯，在月台上道別。我一個人登上太子往中環方向的荃灣線列車，尋常不過的路線，是每日多少萬個香港人／遊客會走的路。
佐敦站出來，目測超過20-30架警車在彌敦道上，一批一批的防暴警察出動。忍不住停下來和街坊看了一會，旁邊的人大叫支持警察，甚至說打死示威者。我可以同意政見不同，但動輒鼓吹暴力的，又是什麼人？！

回到家，一會過後的直播，那種慘痛、橫蠻、暴力、絕望、恐懼⋯⋯同路人，都明白，不贅了。

只想分享以下的網絡文章。（據知來源並非城大的甘博士，所以暫未能加上作者名）

我身邊沒有盲撐警察的人，卻有不少人會這樣說：

「警察係有野唔岩，#但係示威者都乜乜乜」

其實這個 // #但係 //
會否忽略了A和B的程度有多麼不對等？
忽略了雞蛋與高牆的懸殊？

得到政府批准的遊行，都會被兩面夾攻煙霧彈？
還未有任何起訴理由，就用私家車帶走女示威者，亦不透露會去哪裡？

記者會上警察的回應就像跌落地執返咋沙，聽後令人發笑

我感到痛苦的，除了是示威者受傷
市民無論男女老幼，有否去遊行都因警察而無辜食彈
更痛的是有些人仍未發現問題的根源
仍在指責「搞事」的人，卻不問責荒謬的政府
仍在覺得沒有示威就會太平，卻沒有發現警察濫權到一個怎樣可怕的地步
我能連結到去傷者的心，卻同理不到仍在指責示威者的你
為什麼？為什麼？
是因爲我太自我，還是因為你已失去了。。。

Violence is…

警察集會，政府默許。
Police rallies, the government allowed.
其他公務員集會，政府表明追究。
Other civil servants’ gatherings, the government declared they would pursue responsibility.

警察誤打途人，政府沒有遣責，警察亦未有道歉。
Police beat up passers-by, the government did not condemn nor did the police apologise.
示威者擾亂公眾秩序，政府強烈遣責。
Protestors disrupted public order, the government condemned them strongly.

警察圍毆示威者，政府視若無睹。
Police surrounded protestors to beat them up, the government turned a blind eye.
示威者圍毆警察，政府強烈遣責。
Protestors surrounded police to beat them up, the government condemned strongly.

撐警人士把多面國旗棄於垃圾桶內，政府沒有遣責。
Pro-police individuals tossed the PRC national flags in the garbage bins, the government did not condemn.
示威者把一面國旗丟入海中，政府說挑戰中央權威。
One protestor threw a PRC national flag into the sea, the government said it was a challenge of the authority of the Chinese government.

白衣人手持木棍在警察身邊走過，沒事發生。
White-shirt people holding batons walked past police, nothing happened.
黑衣市民在示威地點路過，警員指他有伸縮長矛。
A black-shirt civilian passed by protesting sites, police accused him of having an extendable machete.

白衣暴徒被捕，可以保釋，亦未被正式起訴。
White-shirt mob got arrested, allowed bail and yet to be charged.
示威人士被捕，不准保釋，短時間內被送上法庭。
Protestors got arrested, no bail allowed and were sent to court quickly.

這種選擇性的遣責/執法合理嗎？
Is such selective condemnation and execution of the law reasonable?

我不會跟你說，示威者因為有崇高理想，即使違法也是正確。那不是法治。
I won’t tell you, it is fine for the protestors to break the law because they have a noble cause. This is not the rule of law.

同樣地，你跟我說，警察因為維持治安，即使違法也是正確。我一樣不認同。那一樣不是法治。
Similarly, if you tell me it is fine for the police to break the law because they are trying to maintain order, I won’t agree it either. This is not the rule of law.

法治是示威者/警察/黑社會/市民/高官懷疑犯法後都同樣得到公正裁決，都受到法律制裁。那就是法治。
Rule of law is everyone (protestors, police, gang members, civilians and high ranking officials) receives the same fair judicial process when they are suspects for breaking the law. This is the rule of law.

當政府不是一視同仁地對待社會上每一個人，選擇性起訴部分人，但卻對另一部份人的違法行為視而不見，那就不是法治，而是打著法治旗號的人治。
When the government is not treating everyone in the society equally, but selectively and arbitrarily prosecuted certain people, and turned a blind eye to others’ illegal actions, that is not the rule of law, but the rule of men disguised as rule of law.

暴力不是市民走上街頭發聲。
Violence is not civilians going to the streets to voice their view.
暴力是市民走上街頭發聲後，政府隨即宣佈二讀如期。
Violence is after civilians going to the streets to voice their view, the government immediately announced the second reading of the extradition bill would proceed as scheduled.

暴力不是立法會爆了多少塊玻璃。
Violence is not about how many glass panels were broken at the Legco building.
暴力是政府以行政手段強行剝奪市民的被選權。
Violence is the government using executive measures to take away civilians’ right to be elected.

暴力不是我把心聲貼在連儂牆上。
Violence is not putting my thoughts on Lennon walls.
暴力是你一樣可以把心聲貼在連儂牆，但你卻寧可滅聲。
Violence is silencing others when you could also put your thoughts on Lennon walls

暴力不是多少白衣人打人。
Violence is not about how many white-shirt mobsters beating up civilians.
暴力是警察視若無睹，轉身離去。
Violence is police turning a blind eye, and literally turned their backs.

暴力不是示威者堵塞馬路。
Violence is not blockage of the roads by protestors.
暴力是警察堵塞所有去路再射催淚彈。
Violence is police blocking all the exits and then shooting tear gas at people.

暴力不是記者質問特首。
Violence is not reporters questioning the Chief Executive.
暴力是特首被記者質問，轉身就走。
Violence is the Chief Executive turned and walked away when being questioned by reporters.

政權對異見聲音的冷待，才是最大的暴力。
Authority treating dissent with indifference, that’s the biggest violence.

你地都唔知我哩個Trip去得幾辛苦,某人見我要去紐約,二話不說同我接左order,買十個八個Coach銀包手袋番香港,當我去到Jersey Gardens見到平香港咁多,但真係做咕哩都抵,唔信自已睇片!

選搭subway 到42St.，從Port Authority building再搭 #111 巴士去的，不過，記得先去買票（美金13元），巴士行程大約需要30分鐘左右。
