#EatitForward at Le Du Bangkok.
@ledubkk may have sadly postponed their reopening due to the Covid - 19 crisis but Chef Ton and his team continue to go strong on the delivery game with @cheftonbkk bowls and @mayraibkk. The Phat Thai, normally a love x hate of mine was undeniably succulent and tasty, although they cooked the chili into the dish instead of offering it as a complimentary side meaning if you don't like spicy, you were stuck with it, but a well versed, legit Thai food lover should not have a problem. Best of all it's only 79 Thb! Meaning you won't feel guilty in going for seconds.
We also tried the Duck Confit with Spicy Basil and the Minced Pork with Spicy Sichuan which ironically was not spicy compared to the Phat Thai but it was hearty and filling and for 99thb, let's just say it was truly satisfying. PEOPLE WHO "MEAN WELL"
you know what i'm talking about. the know-it-alls. the kind that just can't wait to dish out unsolicited advice to you. don't you just wanna give them all a high-five, across the face, with a shovel?
you'll find that these people are quite common, and most of them deserve nothing more than a nod and a smile and then you just ignore everything they say to you.
while i do agree that most of these people think that they are "well meaning", many of them are actually idiots, and do not know anything about what they are saying.
these people who "mean well" usually fall into 3 categories:
1. the genuine ones, who are well-versed on the subject matter, and they really wanna give you sound advice, that can help you.
2. the ones who just really like to hear the sound of their own voice talking. sure, 1 or 2 people may have told them that they are intelligent, and now suddenly they think they are qualified to give everyone else advice.
3. the sinister cunts who act like they are magnanimous but will deviously give you bad advice that'll end up ruining you. and these bitches will the first ones to mock and ridicule you when they see you fall.
the moral of this post it, be VERY selective of whom you listen to. as "well meaning" as people pretend to be, not all of them have your best interests at heart. and even when they DO have your best interests at heart, it doesn't mean they are qualified to tell you what to do.
there is a huge danger in indiscriminately taking advice from people - it could end up leading you astray from your own goals, whilst making you a pawn in their scheme to achieving theirs. or worse, it could even end up destroying you.
be selective. be VERY selective.
i saw this on twitter today: 'OPINIONS ARE LIKE THE CLIT - EVERY CUNT HAS TO HAVE ONE.' <3
