𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: The Piazza San Marco is the only square in Venice which is called a Piazza. It is the lowest point in Venice at 90cm. When there is an acqua alta, it is always the first area to be flooded.
In this picture, you can see two columns, right? But there were supposed to be three columns! According to the original plan,three columns were delivered by boat to Venice in 1172. During the process of moving them from the boat to the shore, one column fell overboard into the lagoon. Currently, a team of researchers are looking for that third marble column. Who knows, may be in this lifetime we would be able to see this piazza with three columns! 😍

𝐓𝐢𝐩(𝐬): If you are someone like me, then try to visit here after summer. There were way too many people than pigeons in the square. I would rather have the pigeons. I could hardly take any decent picture because of the crowd. 🤦♀️
