The one that is a harsh taskmaster is the devil. Just like how Pharaoh treated the children of Israel in Egypt, Satan loads man with heavy burdens of religious duties and whips them with accusations and condemnation.
Satan exploits believers who do not know what God’s word actually says. He paints God as an angry, stern, unapproachable Person but nothing is further from the truth!
