Tidak pernah terfikir saya & keluarga akan tinggal di Australia. Memang saya kerap ke Melbourne sejak tahun 2000 sebagai penasihat Shariah kepada MCCA. Namun, tak terlintas pun nak berhijrah ke Australia.

Namun, satu fakta kehidupan. Memang kalau dah baik & elok seseorang atau sesuatu, akan terasa baik & elok. Ia akan terserlah dengan senditi. Memang terasa Australia sebuah negara yang indah untuk tinggal. Mudah. Cekap. Selamat. Cantik.Tenang.

Anak saya Izzatie sudah habis program Foundation Universiti Wollongong di Dubai. Dia nak sambung di Australia. Wollongong sebuah bandar kecil ke selatan Sydney. Ia mengambil masa satu jam dengan kereta & juga kereta api.

Saya telah menghantar anak saya ke sana pada 2010. Saya carikan rumah sewa kepada dia. Ia agak jauh dari Universiti. Semua rumah sewa lain dah penuh. Dia kena berjalan beberapa minit untuk dapat bas ke universiti. Saya tinggalkan dia keseorangan. Di detik itu, terasa amat sayu. Sekilas ikan di air, terlintas idea untuk berhijrah ke sana.

Selepas kami pulang dari Dubai, saya terus membuat urusan visa ke Australia untuk kami sekeluarga. Saya uruskan kemasukan Atiqie ke program Foundation & Awfa Amanie ke sekokah rendah di sana. Kerap kami ke kedutaan Australia. Akhirnya, semua selesai. Kami semua berangkat ke Sydney sekitar bulan Januari 2011.

Setiba di airport, saya ambil teksi van ke rumah sewa anak saya. Kami kongsi sebuah bilik yang kecil beberapa minggu sehingga dapat rumah sewa baru. Cuaca panas. Masih teringat lagi susah nak dapat beli kipas di kedai. Memang jarang dijual. Di Australia, jarang ada kipas. Cuacanya sentiasa lunak.

Wollongong terkenal dengan pantainya. Saya mula beriadah di tepi pantai setiap pagi. Kami dah dapat rumah sewa baru. Nanti saya ceritakan. Saya juga beli kereta MPV 5 seaters. Kereta second hand. Saya mula hantar Awfa ke sekolah setiap pagi & ambil setiap petang. Seronok tengok suasana persekolahan di sana. Tidak nampak tension di muka guru & murid. Semuanya macam teruja.

Masalah besar saya ialah jarak Sydney dengan Dubai. Bila saya kena terbang ke Dubai, memang mengeluh. Jauh sangat.

橫跨電子音樂、文化和科技領域，《音樂、製造者和機器》線上展爬梳電子音樂的發展史，展出單位包括大穆格基金會（Big Moog Foundation/Moogseum）、倫敦巴比肯藝術中心（Barbican Centre）、黑人文化檔案館（Black Cultural Archives）、雪梨歌劇院（Sydney Opera House）、芝加哥歷史博物館（Chicago History Museum）等超過50間文化機構，各自策劃主題頁，探索電子音樂的過去、現在和未來。

耗費長達兩年策展時間，《音樂、製造者和機器》線上展的上線時間恰好遭逢全球新冠疫情肆虐，音樂會和夜店皆被迫閉門之際，以線上展的方式讓人回味置身舞池、搖曳高歌的歡愉，另人迫不及待想要加入這場線上的音樂盛宴。（全文見內）

Success never comes alone. It comes with teamwork.

I will forever be indebted to all my trainers/teachers.

Today, i'd like to share a story about Sir Irzal Kamal, the man in the photo.

When i first joined uni, i was never at the top of the debate circuit. I would always be in Team B/C.

Irzal was one of my trainers in the Foundation Centre of IIUM which i was in then. He was also the trainer of the main IIUM Debate team.

Every week we will have a minimum of 2 training sessions in CFS. I knew it wasn't enough as i was too far behind the rest. My future opponents from NUS, Oxford, Sydney were way ahead of me.

Irzal then invited me to come for additional training sessions in IIUM (Gombak) with the seniors so that i could improve better.

He believed then, for me to catch up with the champions, i must be at least 3 years ahead of my time & train much much harder.

CFS had this weird rule which barred me from leaving & entering campus at night, thus stopped me from joining the training sessions with the seniors in Gombak campus, IIUM.

I did not give up.

I would jump the fence everytime to head to IIUM Gombak for training & to come back into CFS late at night.

Irzal would patiently wait for me outside to drive me from PJ to Gombak & drive me back once training is over.

He did not get a single cent of extra pay for doing this. He did this because he's a great teacher.

That year, i ended up winning Nationals as a Junior & subsequently to the Grand Finals of the Worlds Debating Championship (ESL).

None of this would be possible without my amazing teachers! Irzal will always have a special place in my heart.

I have recently purchased the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation in the shade "9 Warm" & the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder in the shade "2 Medium". In this video, I am showing how both these products work on my skintone. Although, the foundation may seem light at first, it does work out pretty well at the end.
