Having an one-on-one breakfast and craft session with my little superhero!

We were really thrilled to see the limited edition Marvel Avengers cereal from @kelloggssingapore which comes with a cool Breakfast Buddy cutout that can be assembled on your own.

It's been a while since we had some time alone since the little brother was born. Thus, I was thankful to have this bonding session with him while the sisters took care of the baby. Besides working on his cutting skills and having our nice little chat, he also loved playing pretend and coming up with adventures for each of the characters.

While he loves Froot Loops, I prefer the crunchy Frosties, yummy! We even have Marvel cereal bowls now, which comes free with the set. You can use the bottom bowl to contain the milk, top part to put the cereal and there is even a cute little spoon included. Swipe to see more.

During Fatimah’s parents’ meeting earlier on this week, her teacher shared all the outstanding progress she has made. If her Mamajee was still here, he would have been very proud of his amazing niece. On the exact same day, Fatimah’s teacher also shared that Fatimah requested for time to talk about her Mamajee in class, and of course, this was not the first time.

Even though it has been more than a year since Mamajee left us, she still carries her Mamajee’s photos in her schoolbag every day. On some days, she will just look at them, but on certain days, she will request to talk about him to her teachers and friends. And on that day, she chose to show this picture of her Mamajee to her friends, and she described how her uncle is her superhero.

I am glad that Fatimah is blessed to have very supportive teachers and friends because like us adults, kids grieve too. And grief has no time limit. A grief attack can hit you out of the blue. Grief can attack like a wave. And on really bad days, it can be like a huge tsunami. But that’s life. Where there is love, there is loss. The reason you feel the grief is because you loved them with every bit of your heart. And that’s it. Grief is just love with nowhere else to go…
