Excited to read the news that Pi is expected to be entering phase 3 (launched on mainnet) by the end of 2021. Once that happens, it will start to have monetary value, and can be sold for fiat currency (USD, EUR, GBP, SGD, etc.). This also means that the opportunity to mine Pi for free on the app will be ending soon, by the end of the year.

I was amazed and hopeful when I saw one of my friends post this on his wall a few weeks ago. He trades in cryptocurrencies and has been profiting well from that:

I have been mining Pi for free every day on my smartphone since 2019 just by tapping the “mine” button once a day. Never had to pay anything.

What I like about Pi is that “the first become last and the last can become first”. Anyone—rich or poor, can start to mine for free and build an asset that has the potential to turn one’s financial situation around in the long run when Pi is finally traded on the market.

For other cryptocurrencies, you have to buy them in order to hold them as investments, and it is difficult, hardware-dependent, energy-consuming (expensive), and technical to mine cryptocurrencies. You basically hold them until they grow in value, then sell them for capital gain when the price reaches your expectation.

Tadi, aku ride. Tak ada order. 10 minit aku tunggu, tak ada order masuk. Puas kill app dan run balik, masih tiada order masuk.

Aku parking motor depan Ayamas dengan harapan ada la order Ayamas masuk. Datang member rider sorang lagi. Kitorang borak-borak. Dia ada order. Keluar sorang lagi rider dari ayamas. Dia pun ada order. Rider baru keluar ni dah pick up item, jadi, dia tegur sekejap je sebab kena cepat-cepat hantar.

Member rider yang sorang lagi ni bagi aku ayam korea. Katanya ada orang bagi untuk berbuka tapi dia dah kenyang. Alhamdulillah, rezeki. Dia bagi aku ayam korea tu. Pastu dia pick up item dia dan dia gi hantar. Tinggallah aku sendiri.

Aku start motor, pi depan Tealive pulak. 10 minit aku tunggu, masih takde order masuk. Aku pandang langit. "Tak apalah." bisik hati kecilku.

Aku bukak Shopee. Aku baca balik review. 2 hari lepas ada seseorang beli perfume aku, dan semalam, masa nak post perfume dia la aku nyaris berlanggar tu, dan harini, dia bagi review yang menyentuh jiwa.

Aku rasa cukup gembira dah sebab dapat review yang elok, dan dapat ayam korea.

Masa ni, aku duduk kat tangga tepi Tealive. Tengah aku scroll-scroll phone, tetiba datang seekor kucing sarat bunting.

"Apa kau makan eh kucing? Camne kau survive?" soal aku dalam hati. Pastu, terdetik dalam hati aku, kucing ni datang kat aku sebab dia lapar. Dia bukan boleh mengadu lapar sebab dia takleh cakap. Dia bukan ada duit untuk beli makanan. Dia bukan ada keupayaan untuk cari duit. Dia bukan hidup di alam liar yang membolehkan dia memburu. Dia hidup di alam manusia, dalam hutan batu.

Aku rasa kesian kat kucing ni. Takpelah. Aku gi belikan makanan untuk kau. Kau tunggu sat.

Aku gi kat kedai tmg express. Tak jauh, bangunan sebelah je. Aku masuk, pusing-pusing cari tempat makanan haiwan. Lorong demi lorong aku lalui.

Ni yang aku nampak, tapi ni bukan yang aku cari. Aku terus berjalan sampailah ternampak 'friskis'

Aku nak belikan wetfood. Aku tengok ada 2 pilihan.

Aku mula berkira-kira untuk beli yang lagi murah sebab berat dia sama je. Tapi, kucing tu obviously lebih dari setahun, kan? Diet kucing dewasa tak sama dengan kitten. Takkan nak jimat 30 sen tapi korbankan nutritional value?

Aku shut off suara-suara dalam minda, dan amik je yang kucing dewasa. Rm 1.90 je pun. Beza 30 sen je pun.
Hidup ni bukan semata-mata nak kira untung dan rugi.
Hidup ni lebih dari tu.
Harini aku dah dapat kindness yang tak ternilai dari orang, why aku nak berkira untuk buat kindness pada makhluk lain?
Jadi, aku pejamkan mata..., beli je.

Masa scan tu, harganya rm 1.60 je.
Aku kat depan kaunter tu macam... "what kind of sorcery is this?"
Aku dah prepared nak bayar rm 1.90 tapi harganya cuma rm 1.60?
Man... Nak buat baik pun dipermudahkan.
Tadi, part of me nak jimatkan 30 sen, dan part of me nak belikan wetfood kucing dewasa. Now, all part of me dapat apa yang mereka inginkan ; wetfood kucing dewasa pada harga rm 1.60.
I feel at peace with myself.

Aku pi kat tangga tadi, tapi kucing tu dah tak ada. Kucing tu sarat pregnant. Dia takkan main jauh.
Orang kalau sarat mengandung pun mana larat jalan jauh.
Aku pusing-pusing cari dia. Tengok-tengok dia terbaring atas kotak, mata pejam. Cuba tidur ke?

Aku panggil dia, dia datang.
Aku koyakkan bungkusan wetfood tu letak atas lantai yang bersih sikit. Dia terus makan dengan lahap.

Kesiannya... Kebulur rupanya... Dah berapa hari tak makan ni?

Aku pi tepi kedai, buang bungkusan wetfood yang dah kosong tu dalam tong sampah. Aku datang balik kat kucing tu, dia berhenti makan, dia pandang aku.
Aku pun pandang dia dengan pandangan simpati.
"patut la kau cuba tidur tadi, sebab tak tahan lapar rupanya...."

Tiba-tiba apps rr aku berbunyi, ada order masuk. Double order.

Setengah jam aku takde order, banyak tempat aku pergi, rupanya supaya aku sampai ke sini, supaya aku bagi makan kat kucing ni.
Mungkin doa kau dimakbulkan wahai kucing yang kelaparan, mungkin kau berdoa kepada Tuhan agar ada insan yang memberikan makanan sebab kau dah tak tahan kebuluran, sebab tu aku dibawa oleh arus takdir sampai ke sini untuk bagi kau makan.

Sekarang, tugas aku dah selesai, aku harus pergi. :') *bgm : Pusara di Lebuhraya *

Hari esok, kita berjuang lagi untuk hidup.
Siapa tahu, mungkin takdir kita akan bersilang lagi?
