Arwah Dato Wan Ismail Wan Mahmood was a dedicated psy war expert, serving various Prime Ministers in his capacity as a civil servant. He was fluent in Japanese, and Hindi, as well as English and Bahasa, perhaps even Javanese!, and was always full of joy and love, tickling all his grand and great grand children’s funny bones during the precious moments we had with him.
His favorite physio sessions were ones accompanied by Bollywood tunes, in the company of his children, as well as grand children. 🙏🏽
He returned to the Almighty early this morning, very peacefully, leaving my grandmother with a gentle smile. She made a soft parting comment on what a loving husband he was, and that “nenek sangat mencintai Wan.”
We all miss you, Wan.
