A 1.5km boardwalk brings you deep into the mangrove swamp. It is home to 30 mangrove species, 90 species of resident and migratory birds and five species of reptiles. There are about 688 species of birds in Borneo, which 62 are endemic.
And here at Kota Kinabalu Wetland Ramsar site, about 4km from the city center, more than 80 birds species have been recorded here. Apart from the birds, there are many other fauna live in this area too.
