Hello everyone. I just want to say a big thank you for following and supporting my comic page @bubzcomics . I decided for 2021 I would start drawing again. I spent my childhood and early teen years drawing my own little comics. I even created a little club with my cousins and we would read each other’s work every week and it’s honestly my happiest memories of my childhood. Then along came high school, boys, more studying, partying, career, marriage, children, divorce and co-parenting and it’s funny how life works out because here I am back to drawing again. On days I don’t have Isaac and Ayla, I’ll go up to my office (which I left mostly empty for the past two years) and start scribbling out the little thoughts in my head. I love the feeling of being so immersed in art because you only focus on strokes and shading and nothing else. I regressed at the beginning of the year even though nothing bad was happening in the present. I have always been more of a painter but I love how much webtoons can convey. Knowing I have a lot to learn and improve makes me so excited. Drawing has saved me along with the amazing support I had been getting from my amazing friends. As I headed downstairs to prep dinner this evening, I caught glimpse of this precious sight. Some of you may not know this but Tim struggled massively in his first year of fatherhood. To say we were on the brink of divorce would be an understatement. I'm not going to go into too much detail here (I'm sure some of you would have read all about it) but somehow, we manage to hold tight to each other and overcome one of our biggest obstacles in our relationship. In some parts of the body, the bone grows back STRONGER after being broken. Our relationship HAD to get worse to get better. A great love isn't about confetti hearts and butterflies. It's not about being perfect and having no arguments. A great love is also about OVERCOMING hardship together. Despite loving my son so much, I was also scarred from the past. I remember explaining to Tim that I loved him too much to risk our marriage going into jeopardy again and so, I did not want to risk having another child. Crazy how things can change. Here I am typing this post whilst my husband is putting our 10 month daughter to sleep. We could no be happier with how life turned out. Tim has blossomed so much over the past four years and I could not be more proud of this man. To Isaac, you are the most invincible being on earth and I'm so thankful that you get to be Ayla's first love. We’re so lucky to have you, daddy!

It’s funny how life works out. Drawing was so integral throughout my entire childhood and early teen years. I used to write and draw my own comics with my cousins. We made our own little club and we would spend our weekends reading each other’s work. Then became life’s distractions like school work, boys, teen things, university, partying, work, marriage, parenthood, divorce and co parenting life. Now I have come back to my roots by drawing again. It’s been a great outlet for me. When I hold my stylus, I only focus on my strokes. It calms me. I’m so thankful for art.
