146 PELAJAR YANG MEMERLUKAN TERIMA KURNIAAN BANTUAN MAKANAN DARIPADA SULTAN JOHOR
Seramai 146 pelajar Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Infant Jesus Convent Johor Bahru dari keluarga B40 menerima kurniaan bantuan makanan daripada DYMM Sultan Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar.
Bantuan disampaikan wakil Baginda, Yang Berhormat Mejar Cina Dato’ David Wong kepada Pengetua sekolah berkenaan, Puan Ande Noor Munawara Bachok pada hari ini (25 Ogos).
Daripada jumlah penerima bantuan, seramai 115 keluarga merupakan dari golongan B40, manakala 30 keluarga terjejas pendapatan apabila ketua keluarga hilang pekerjaan, manakala sebuah lagi keluarga merupakan ibu tunggal yang mengidap angin ahmar.
Puan Ande Noor Munawara turut merakamkan setinggi-tinggi kasih kepada DYMM Sultan Johor diatas kurniaan bantuan makanan kepada keluarga pelajar-pelajar yang terkesan akibat pandemik COVID-19.
SMK Infant Jesus Convent Johor Bahru adalah sekolah harian di bawah pentadbiran Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Johor Bahru, dan merupakan sekolah perempuan yang pertama dibuka pada tahun 1925.
Tapak tanah di mana sekolah ini berada sekarang merupakan kurniaan Almarhum Sultan Sir Ibrahim pada tahun 1924 kepada I.J. Sisters.
Sejak mula beroperasi, sekolah ini telah mencatat kejayaan dan pencapaian dalam pelbagai bidang merangkumi akademik, kokurikulum dan kemenjadian murid.
Antara kenamaan yang pernah bersekolah di sekolah ini termasuk Allahyarhamah Toh Puan Rahah Mohamed Noah, penulis tersohor Adibah Amin, dan pemenang Masterchef Australia tahun 2017, Diana Chan.

146 I.J. CONVENT JOHOR BAHRU STUDENTS IN NEED RECEIVE FOOD AID FROM SULTAN OF JOHOR
146 students of SMK Infant Jesus Convent Johor Bahru from families in need have received food aid from HM The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar.
The aid was presented by His Majesty’s representative, YB Mejar Cina Dato’ David Wong to the school’s Principal, Puan Ande Noor Munawara Bachok today (25 Aug).
The recipients consisted of 115 families from the B40 category, 30 families who have been impacted by loss of income and one family whose single mother suffers from stroke.
Puan Ande Noor Munawara expressed her sincere gratitude on behalf of the families to HM Sultan Ibrahim for sending aid to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
SMK I.J. Convent Johor Bahru is under the purview of the Johor Bahru District Education Office and was the first girls school established in the district in 1925.
The plot of land where the school stands was donated in 1924 to the I.J. Sisters by Almarhum Sultan Sir Ibrahim.
The school has a long history of excellence, producing bright students with high academic and co-curricular achievements.
Among the names who were educated here include the late Toh Puan Rahah Mohamed Noah, esteemed writer Adibah Amin and Masterchef Australia 2017 winner, Diana Chan.
