Welcome to the first day of the Wild Lotus x AntiGravity®️ Challenge.
.
Day 1
The first pose of this challenge from the Wild Lotus Sequence Part 2 is Bakasana (Crane Pose). We have picked the Inverted Tuck Crunch from the AG Strengthening Series to prepare us getting into Bakasana.
.
1. Stand in front of your AG hammock, with your palms down on the floor, place both of your ankles into the AG hammock, coming into a Double Reverse Ankle Trap.
2. Straighten both arms, stack your shoulders directly above your wrists, straighten your legs coming into Plank.
3. From here, keep your legs engaged, with ankles pushed down to the hammock with tension, bring your knees towards your chest as you lift your hips up and stack them directly above your shoulders coming into Inverted Tuck Crunch.
4. Repeat from Plank to Inverted Tuck Crunch for 5 reps each set. Repeat as needed and make sure you rest between sets by releasing one leg out of the hammock and rest your forehead down on the floor. Try 3 sets! : )
.
The AG hammock supports your balance throughout the sequence, allowing you to focus purely on strengthening your core and building your muscle memory for Bakasana.
.
Once you get familiar with the Inverted Tuck Crunch sequence, you will be able to focus your mind on balancing while attempting Bakasana as you have already built up sufficient strength.
Give it a try and let us know how it feels!
.
We will place all participants in a ballot and conduct a lucky draw. The winners will have a chance to win one of the following amazing prizes:
1st Prize: 1 x “One Week Unlimited” package with unlimited access to all our classes including speciality/floor classes (Worth HK$1380)

Crow pose! I remember taking really long to nail this (I actually got my Titibhasana first). The biggest reason for me not getting it back then was actually not leaning forward enough. It's the fear of planting my face on the floor but ever since I used a pillow to break my fall it helped me understand how far forward I can go without tipping over.
Another important point is to remember that it's an active pose. You engage your muscles to keep it up instead of trying to find a balancing point and hoping it'll stay there. Harsh but true.
Okay beginning to sound like a naggy aunty. Swipe swipe for more notes that will hopefully help you in your crow pose. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📷 1) Getting into crow pose
📷 2) Using a pillow to help break your fall. You can also get a friend or your yoga teacher to support your shoulder as you slowly shift forward
📷 3) Not-so-ideal postures that might have hindered your progress (I forgot to explain why so ask me if you're curious)
📷 4) Palm placement is important in all arm balances, check check!
📷 5) Training for Crane pose (straight arms)
There are so many different adjustments depending on body type so if the little notes here don't help you can also always DM me a video of you doing it and I'll see if I can help further. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In this video we are showing you how to get to Lok Wah South Car Park from Kowloon Bay MTR, we will walk up as honestly as waiting for the bus you would already arrived at the location. On top of the Lok Wah South Car Park we can find two special build art pieces which a lot of visitors and tourist go to just to take a picture of themselves at. However do note, that in the weekends it be even more busy than weekdays. So to get a chance to take a perfect picture without someone else getting in the shot, you need to be quite quick and aggressive to take up the turn as there no cue to wait up on.
Mostly the most important shot is to take the images with the circles and also when the sun is at the right spot you get some great diagonal lines added to the image. But if you want someone to pose in the circles there are a few things you need to remember. First is you don't want the person to block the circles so you don't want them to stand in the middle in the first circle as he or she would block the circles behind them, what you want to do is to offset them to one side, either sit on the bottom edge or lean on the side. If the person want to be in the middle its better to position them further down a few circles to get your shot.
Honestly the location is nice, but a bit warn down due to so many people taking pictures there, but due to so many people visiting this location, you need quite a lot of patience to get your turn and honestly not that many things to photography than just those circles.
