This is an editorial practice work about Asian Americans that are underrepresented in leadership due to the common experience of being confused for someone of the same ethnicity. This phenomenon even has a name called the ‘Interchangeable Asian’. Although not in the workplace, I have also had the same experience. One of my classmates we had studied together for 1.5 years when I was in the UK can't tell me and another Taiwanese woman apart, and she keeps calling me the wrong name. I corrected her in private and she said with joy that it's because we look similar and tiny, even though we look nothing alike and have almost a head's difference in height.

Essential information about Ionized Water is the pH levels. Whether it’s alkaline or acidic; the colored chart provides a convenient form of quick recognition. A quick test by the litmus paper would give its precise pH level. The pH ranges from 1~14, a pH level of 7 is the Neutral level (distilled water). The two end ranges are either very acidic or very alkaline. Level 1 is the most acidic (battery acid) and level 14 very alkaline (caustic soda). To sustain a healthy balance; our blood pH should be around 7.35~7.45. Results have shown and verified that when a person’s body is biased towards slightly acidic level; they’re more easily susceptive to chronic diseases, suffer from pain, cancer or generally feeling fatigued. These conditions improve by consuming alkaline ionized water at the alkaline level around pH8.5. At this pH level, your body is more easily hydrated and maintained at the optimum healthy balance.
In Japan, the widely used method of prescribing alkaline ionized water to patients with various medical conditions, such as diabetes, heart conditions, arthritis. The Japanese reports can be view via our ‘News’ section, with the provision of Chinese translation.
Our most common goal in life is keeping one young and well-being. How to achieve it is the crucial question? An analogy to this phenomenon is that metal gets rusty once exposed to the atmosphere. In the presence of moisture, the process quickens. The chemical reaction is called oxidation. Our body goes through a similar process and is called ‘Aging.’ The body ages because of the rate of our body cells die far quicker than it regenerates. For the cells to regenerate more speedily. We must provide the body with the optimum condition, with a healthy optimum pH level and high Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP). The more used term is ‘antioxidant rate.’ Ionized Alkaline Water has the benefits to raise ORP level. ORP is measured in millivolts (mv), and it’s the potential difference between the electrodes when an electric current to pass through it. The positive (+ve) readings translate to the ease of the current to move, the higher the number, the quicker the oxidization process. The ORP of many forms of our common intakes, such as general drinking water, coffee & tea or soda drinks. Their related ORP varied very considerably, mainly on the positive range of +300(mv) to +500 mv. Opposite results concluded when the tested is with Ionized Alkaline Water. Most results will indicate readings between -400mv to -800mv. This negative value indicates the level of resistance to oxidation; this is the set-out goal by slowing down the aging process.

‼️ MODEL ESSAY
The young today spend a large amount of leisure time in shopping centers. It is fear that this trend can bring about negative influences on the youths and the society. Personally, I strongly disagree with this view.
On the one hand, for the young generation spending too much time at the shopping malls can make them waste a great deal of money. As there are dozens of brands with various prices and design for them to choose from, they are easily tempted to buy things impulsively and misspend money on unnecessary stuff. For example, when some big brand names slash the prices, a shopaholic may purchase 10 shirts and jeans in a row and this cost her somewhere $100; however, such items often end up being left in the wardrobe. For the society, because youngsters are unlikely to participate in other activities such as their work or studying, economy may suffer due to less work being done and the youths could slack off their knowledge acquisition, making the national education standard drop significantly.
On the other hand, there are also some advantages of this trend. First, in terms of the young, spending time at the malls is considered a method of relaxation. In modern life these days, young people have to deal with lots of pressure from school or workplace, so this trend helps them enjoy their life and effectively release their stress. Second, the society also benefits from this phenomenon. The increase in the amount of consumption will promote manufacture and commerce in the fashion industry, which afterward will create more jobs and boost the economic growth.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that devoting a huge amount of time in shopping malls could lead to both negative and positive consequences to the young as well as the society.

「But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father who seeth in secret shall recompense thee. And in praying use not vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen of men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is the darkness! yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.」

10 THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE JAPANESE EMPEROR 天皇
Just prior to Christmas, on the 23rd of December, it is the current Japanese Emperor, Akihito’s birthday. It is a national holiday in Japan (天皇誕生日).
1) WORLD'S OLDEST MONARCHY
The Japanese monarchy, The Imperial House of Japan, is the oldest, continuous hereditary monarchy in the world.
Compared to other monarchies, you have the British Monarchy starting at 1066 and the the Danish Monarchy at 935. For the Japanese Monarchy, we’re going back to 660BC, which started with the legendary Japanese Emperor Jimmu.
2) DESCENDENT OF GODS
Shinto is the largest religion in Japan, and the line of Japanese Emperors are said to be the direct descendants of several Shinto gods, the most notable being the Sun goddess, Amaterasu.
The Emperor is the ceremonial head of state in Japan, but it makes sense that with his divine ancestry, he is also officially the head of the Shinto religion itself.
3) TERRITORY-INDEPENDENT PHENOMENON
As odd as it may seem, the title of Emperor (or Tennō) has never really been about territorial designations. Contrast this with European monarchs who often wanted to conquer and control additional territory.
In fact, the position of Emperor is a territory-independent phenomenon. In other words, the Emperor is the Emperor regardless if he has followers in the whole of Japan or in only one province.
4) EMPEROR'S CAPACITY
From 1192 to 1867, the shoguns held the real power (Shoguns being the military commanders of the time). The Emperor still officially nominated the Shoguns to their positions, but this was largely ceremonial.
Today, the Japanese Constitution vests executive power in the Prime Minister and his Cabinet.
5) POLYGAMY
The Japanese imperial dynasty consistently practiced official polygamy.
Besides his empress, the Emperor could take several secondary consorts or concubines; which helped produce more offspring for the imperial clan
6) FIRST COMMONER WIFE
In the history of the Japanese Imperial Family, there was never an Emperor who had a commoner as wife or even concubine. That is, until now.
The current Emperor of Japan married Empress Michiko, a commoner! She was not from the former court nobility nor from one of the former branches of the Imperial Family. Michiko was the daughter of an industrialist
7) FISH SCIENCE
(Ichthyology = Fish Science)
The Emperor is a published ichthyological researcher, having written papers for several scholarly journals, and has specialised studies within the taxonomy of the family Gobiidae. Random
8) STOP GAP EMPRESSES
Generally, it has been males who have ascended Japan’s Chrysanthemum Throne. However, if a suitable male was not available, there have been times where women have ascended the throne; almost as a stop gap measure.
Of the 125 monarchs, there have been 8 women who have reigned on 10 different occasions. 2 of them reigned twice.
Once a suitable male descendant was considered old enough to rule, many Empresses, and even Emperors, abdicated or relinquished the throne
9) CHILD EMPERORS
Over a thousand years ago, a tradition started that an Emperor should ascend young. If he had passed his toddler years, he was said to be old enough. Being a child was apparently a fine property
10) ABDICATING TREND
Abdication was very common. Actually it was more frequent than death on the throne. The Emperors tasks involved so many repetitive rituals that after about ten years of service, it was deemed a reasonable compensation to live the rest of their lives in pampered retirement!

World's best motorcycle pants are RHOK (search Ebay for them) Want to remind you guys I've been to that track 5 times in the last 2 years or less. A lot of the other guys on that track go 5 times every month. But I plan on going there at least twice a month in the future.
And for all you ignorant fucks calling me slow..etc. You don't know how fast I'm going. You don't know my lean angle. You don't know when my rear is sliding out or not.....in short...you don't know anything. I was there with a friend who races and is fast. By the third session I was pacing him. At the end of the day he complimented me and said that I improved a lot in one day and that I was "really cooking". So....I think I'll take his word over yours.
Another thing....back when I use to put up go-kart vids....same thing...people insulting my "line" and talking about apexes. Meanwhile.....I was entering races and coming in first. So yeah.....unless you've been on that track....then keep your advice to yourself.
Two things happening with me being scared of the straight:
"Target fixation is a process by which the brain is focused so intently on an observed object that awareness of other obstacles or hazards can diminish. Also, in an avoidance scenario, the observer can become so fixated on the target that they will forget to take the necessary action to avoid it, thus colliding with the object.
This is a common issue for motorcyclists and mountain bikers. A motorcycle or bicycle will tend to go where the rider is looking; if the rider is overly focused on an obstacle, the cycle can collide with that object simply because of the rider's focus on it, even though the rider is ostensibly trying to avoid it.
The term "target fixation" may have been borrowed from World War II fighter pilots, who spoke of a tendency to want to fly into targets during a strafing run. For instance, it is believed that a previous head injury to Manfred von Richthofen, the Red Baron, caused the famed flying ace to develop that process that caused him to disregard proper caution and become an easy target for Allied forces to fatally bring him down.
Target fixation may also refer to a phenomenon where a skydiver may forget to pull the ripcord because he or she is so focused on the landing area."
....and Looking Through the Turn
(and now this is me writing....sigh)By looking at the road ahead of me it becomes shorter and shorter and creates tunnel vision.....which exaggerates the feelings of speed/terror. But by looking into the turn at an almost 90 degree angle to the bike. You dispel the psychological problem, lose the feeling of excessive speed and focus on the opening turn.
