Receive the Royal Crown

“Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, came to go in to the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the keeper of the women, advised. Esther obtained favor in the sight of all those who looked at her. So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus into his royal house in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she obtained favor and kindness in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown on her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.” (Esther‬ ‭2:15-17‬ ‭WEB‬)

There was a huge beauty pageant being held to choose a new queen.

Each contestant could choose an item to bring with her into the king’s presence.

All the young women brought what they thought would please the king, based on their own assumptions and understanding.

However, Esther was uncommon. She trusted the king’s eunuch and brought what he recommended, into the king’s presence.

In this story, Esther is a picture of a believer, the eunuch represents the Holy Spirit, and the king represents God the Father.

Do you lean on your own understanding or do you trust the leading of the Holy Spirit?

How do you obtain great favor from God? It is by humbly relying on the Holy Spirit and not by trusting in your self-efforts, intelligence, beauty, skills, or strength.

When you lean on Him, you receive the power of God into your circumstances.

The one who relies completely on the Holy Spirit receives the royal crown on the head.

“Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding. Esteem her, and she will exalt you. She will bring you to honor, when you embrace her. She will give to your head a garland of grace. She will deliver a crown of splendor to you.”” (Proverbs‬ ‭4:7-9‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The Holy Spirit gives you godly wisdom whereas the world’s wisdom is earthly, sensual, and even demonic. God’s crowns you with grace and splendor (every good thing). This is how you reign in life!

For a very long time, I was constantly afraid of letting others down.

Not just with my mom and dad and boyfriend, no. I didn't want to disappoint even the Starbucks barista, H&M sales clerk, and the cleaning lady.

I was a sucker for people pleasing.

Raised to be a "good girl," my self-worth was entangled with what others think of me. I subconsciously made it my job to make everyone happy.

With friends, I said Yes to go out for drinks when I wanted to stay home, drink tea, and read a book instead.

At work, I strived to meet others expectations (and my own impossible expectations towards myself) until I got sick and depressed.

In relationships, when I felt sad or lonely or hurt, I couldn't share with my partners. I didn't want to them to think of me as weak or uncool or difficult. But no vulnerability means no real connection.

If you see yourself in my story, one of the most liberating things you can give to yourself is the permission to disappoint others.

Not out of meanness to others but out of kindness to yourself.

My child displayed courage with Dutch Lady by willing to start trying her own simple baking with her favourite Dutch Lady Disney Frozen packs! This was the day 1 when I decided to never back down and document my mental health journey.
I am already in Boracay Island and I thought it was going to be easy, but because of "UFC GYM Singapore", "Thai Kum Foon of Kuok Singapore" and "Michael Lim of Orangetee & Tie", I am having so many of triggers and I felt like I was going to explode.

There are a lot of people like me who are triggered by some people. If we start documenting our journey and tell our story, not tolerate how people do their business, we will soon live a life full of justice and kindness.

Dagashi Japanese treats treasure box 'Tsutsukundesu Takarabako'. Tsutsukundesu means poke, Takarabako is treasure box. It looks like an Advent Calendar, does it? It's 980 yen(9.5 USD). The pictures on the box are Japanese folk tales. I wrote very simple outline, if you have interest of the story, please google it.

The raccoon dog which can change his shape to tea kettle.

Battle of the monkey and the crab.
Urashima Taro
Urashima Taro rescued the turtle and was invited to Ryugujo undersea palace.
Hanasaka Jiisan
Kind elderly man could make cherry blossoms bloom, greed elderly man couldn't make cherry blossoms bloom.
Shitakiri Suzume
Kind elderly man who rescued the sparrow got treasure, greed elderly woman who cut the sparrow's tongue got punishment.
Usagi to Kame
The hare and the tortoise did Long-distance race, and the tortoise won.
Kitsune no Yomeiri
The fox's wedding.
Inaba no Siro Usagi
the white hare, ferocious sharks and the god who want to get married with the goddess.
Hagoromo no Matsu
The man who watched heavenly maiden in the sea hid her clothes.
Orihime to Hikoboshi
The couple who can meet only once a year. The base story of the festival of stars.
Kachi Kachi Yama
The hare punished the bad raccoon dog by setting fire on his back.
