3. ผู้เสียชีวิตต้องฉีดเข็มสุดท้ายในวันที่ 18 ก.ค. แต่มาเสียชีวิตเสียก่อนในช่วงเช้ามืด 18 ก.ค. รวมระยะเวลาหลังโดนกัด เกือบ 28 วันพอดี

4. หลังโดนกัด และได้รับวัคซีน 4 เข็มแรก ผู้ป่วยมีอาการปกติ จนกระทั่งมีอาการชาที่ขาซ้าย-ข้างที่ถูกกัด ปวดหลังและปัสสาวะบ่อย ในวันที่ 13 ก.ค. จึงไปหาหมอ

5. กลางดึก 16 ก.ค. ป่วยหนัก อาเจียน เดินไม่ไหว จึงไปหาคลินิกใกล้บ้าน และเช้า 17 ไป รพ.ใหญ่ในซีอาน หมอตรวจโดยละเอียดจึงพบว่า "ติดเชื้อพิษสุนัขบ้า และไม่มีทางรักษาแล้ว" จนกระทั่งเสียชีวิตช่วงเช้ามืดวันที่ 18 ก.ค.

6. สามีผู้เสียชีวิตสงสัยว่า ทำไมภรรยาถึงเสียชีวิต ทั้งที่ได้รับการรักษาจากแพทย์หลังโดนกัดโดยทันที และ ชาวโซเชียลจีน ตั้งข้อสังเกตเช่นกันว่า วัคซีนที่ฉีดอาจจะปลอม หรือไม่ได้มาตรฐาน
